Media XI CC denies association with group seeking sponsorship from organizations

Jammu, Aug 18: The management of Media XI Cricket Club Jammu Thursday clarified that no member of the club is involved in seeking any sponsorship from any individual or organization. The management stated that it has come to its knowledge that some individuals previously associated with the Media XI CC under the name and title of Media Cricket Club Jammu are approaching different bodies and forums for sponsorships.
In an official communication, the elected management of the Club stated that some individuals are approaching different organizations, including police and sports council for different sorts of sponsorships. “Some of the members of Social Media Portals (News), previously associated with the Media XI Cricket Club, are approaching different organizations for sponsorships,” clarified management of the team, adding that in the recent instance, this group of individuals have reportedly approached Jammu and Kashmir Police for sports gears & Jersey.
It was further clarified that, On 16 of July 2022, elections for the Captainship & Management of Media XI Cricket Club Jammu was held at Press Club Jammu wherein Yash Khajuria (The Earth News - Daily) and Sunil Bali (Daily Northlines) were elected at new Captain and as Vice Captain of the Team similarly, Imran Mir (Greater Kashmir/Uzma), Faheem Tak (Take One Channel), Pradeep Singh Bali (The Typewriter), Sunil Thapa (Sahara Samay – TV Channel), Ashu Kumar (Daily Northlines), Dev Thakur (Straight Talk) and Rahul Khatri (BE News) were elected as Members of executive committee for the session 2022-2022. The management, through this press note clarified that any social media journalists, approaching people and organizations are doing so in their personal capacity and ‘Media XI Cricket Club Jammu’ have no association with it.
“Anybody being approached in the name of Media XI Cricket Club Jammu must verify whether any member of the management duly elected by the registered members in part of it or not,” said management.
