Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 28: A meeting was organised by Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) at Marh ( Jammu) under the leadership of District President Ravinder Manhas and Zonal President Jyoti Prakash.
On the occasion UT President Vinod Sharma was the Chief guest special invitee whereas UT Vice President Surjit Chib, Provincial President Jammu Rajesh Jamwal, UT Chief Advisor Sham Sharma, UT Chief Press and Media Secretary Sukesh Khajuria and UT Organiser Subash Chander were the guest of honours. The meeting was also attended by a large number of teachers of zone Marh.
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma urged the Principal Secretary School Education to bring teachers appointed under ReT scheme under transfer policy as mentioned in Government order number 469 Education of 2014 Dated 25.06.2014 and even directions passed by honourable High Court and CAT as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 22 years suffering badly. He said that change is a law of nature and stagnation leads to reduction in efficiency of teachers and thus these teachers be brought under transfer policy.
He also demanded immediate revocation of controversial order of repatriation of ReT teachers issued by school education department on 25th July as due to this more than thousand teachers are suffering as at present they are neither their present postings nor on their original postings. He further said that some CEOs have implemented honourable CAT directions and allowed the repatriated teachers to join back their present postings but still some CEOs haven't yet done the same which will lead to contempt of court and urged them to implement the said direction of CAT.
He also appealed the LG administration and Principal Secretary School Education to intervene in the matter so that thousands of teachers appointed under ReT scheme be brought under transfer policy.
Speaking on the occasion provincial President Rajesh Jamwal appealed the Director Schools Education Jammu to issue orders of conversion RReTs to Teachers Grade II/III as for last 6 months no such orders are issued and teachers are suffering.
He also urged DSEJ to issue regularisation orders of ReTs whose files are lying in the directorate for a long time .
Other demands raised in the meeting included: Inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority, DPC of teachers as same hasn't been done since 2014, old pension scheme in favour of NPS employees, raising of Grade of teachers at par with their counterparts in the other UTs and conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of masters.
Others who also spoke on the occasion were: Ranjeet singh, Tarseem Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Ragubir Lal, Bansi Lal Sharma, Satish Sharma, Kewal Sharma, Surinder Singh, Durga Dass, Ashwani Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Parshotam Lal, Pritpal Singh, Nitu Rajput, Subash Chander, Kulveer Singh, Mahinder Paul, Rakesh Singh, Sudershan Singh Ashwani, Vijay Kumar, Tilak Khajuria, Sonamika Devi and others.
