Will fight for resolution of J&K: PDP
9/5/2022 10:38:17 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sept 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reiterated its commitment to fight for the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir issue and called for a united fight for honour and dignity of people.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti who presided over the party's Political affairs meeting on Monday in Srinagar reiterated that they will fight for the resolution of Kashmir issue and work for its solution with external and internal dimensions.
“We are ready to extend our unconditional support to any political party for the resolution of the Kashmir issue but where we need their support they should also extend the same”, Mehbooba told mediapersons while reading the party resolution.
She stressed upon the government of India to start dialogue with the people and Pakistan to stop the day-to-day killings and bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir.
The rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir which were snatched on August 5, 2019 by abrogating Article 370 and 35A PDP will continue struggle for their restoration”, she said and added at the same time we appeal to other parties to extend their support so that we could fight together for our lost right and identity.
She also expressed dismay over the targeted killings of Kashmiri pandits and reiterated her party's stand to bring back them (Kashmiri pandits) to Kashmir valley with honour and dignity.
She said the government of India failed to bring them back and provide security even though they are using them for their vote bank.
Regarding the apprehensions of the 25 lakh outsider voters to be registered in Jammu and Kashmir, she said Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir. They wanted to change the ratio between majority and minority communities here.
She warned the central government that any change in the demography of Jammu and Kashmir would have serious repercussions. Kashmir is not Palestine nor India is Israel this (India) is a democratic and secular country with which we have shaken our hands” God forbid we have not shaken our hands on certain conditions with the country who will not distort and gag us which will have adverse effects.
She alleged that the present government in Jammu and Kashmir is the biggest corrupt one as they had to cancel three recruitment which had happened so far of Sub Inspector, Financial Assistants and Junior Engineers of Jal Shakti. Some political party was involved in it and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are facing sufferings due the corrupt system.
Mehbooba also requested Prime Minister of India to release all detenues and bring back those who have been put in outside jails to Kashmir.
She also appealed to follow the policies of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh who had restored dialogue and open routes for trade with Pakistan how long you will try to win the hearts of the people with the iron feet and with the security forces, she questioned.
