GDC Dudu Basantgarh conducts Symposium

Jammu, Sept 9: Today, Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh conducted a Symposium and also displayed a Documentary on the “Life and Works of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan”.
Seven students of BA Sem-1 st took part in the symposium. All the students enumerated the achievements of Dr Radhakrishnan in detail. Ms Saloni, who also clinched 1 st position, emphasized on the importance and magnanimity of a great teacher like Dr Radhakrishnan. She also said that among all the deities and gods and goddesses we worship, the stature of a teacher gets highest reverence and respect. Mr Mohd Azad and Sonali Devi, who shared 2 nd and 3 rd spot respectively, also bring into light the excellence and greatness of Dr Radhakrishnan.
While speaking on the occasion, principal of the college Dr Bhavnaish Chand reiterated on the importance and significance of a teacher in our life. He said that teacher is the one who bears the permanent mark on the overall personality of a student. Hence, a teacher teaches not only in the classroom but he works as a torch bearer for the whole future of his students. Prof. Vijay Kumar also asked the students to maintain punctuality and regularity because Dr Radhakrishnan was an epitome of such characteristics, and it would be unfair on our part if we do not follow his principles.
The proceeding of the program was conducted by Dr PP Singh. The other staff members presented on the occasion were Prof. Rahul Sharma and Mr Tariq Ahmed Mir.The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Pradeep Kumar Kundal.
