JAMMU, Sept 22: In a petition filed by Dr. Jogeshwar Kumar Gupta, s/o late Shiv Charan Gupta, President, Municipal Council, Udhampur challenging the notice of no-confidence motion dated 09-09-2022 issued by private respondents and notice dated 19-09-2022 issued by CEO MC Udhampur, Justice Sanjay Dhar after hearing Advocate Ankur Sharma appearing for the petitioner, issued notice to the respondents and observed that the petition raises important questions of law, as such, stand of official respondents is necessary in the matter.
Justice Sanjay Dhar further observed that while awaiting the reply of the respondents, it is provided that voting on No Confidence Motion, pursuant to the impugned no confidence motion dated 09.09.2022 and notice dated 19.09.2022 issued by respondent No.4 shall go ahead. However, it is directed that result of the voting shall not be declared and the same shall be kept by respondent No.4 in a sealed cover, till next date of hearing. —JNF |
