DC receives Shanti Yatra in commemoration of forthcoming M K Gandhi's Birth Anniversary

KISHTWAR, Sept 23: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today received a Shanti March and "Shanti Chinh" Symbol in presence of other senior officers of district Administration here.
ADDC Sham Lal, CEO Kishtwar Sudarshan Sharma, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, CAHO Dr Sanjay sen, President Municipal Council, Municipal councillors, prominent persons and senior citizens,scores of students from govt and private schools and and staff of Education and other Departments participated in large numbers.
The event was organised in view of the 153rd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi being celebrated as Gandhi Mahotsav across the UT.
The Shanti March is organised to spread the message of Mahatma Gandhi to all, more specifically with regard to the Gandhian philosophy of truth and non-violence.
The Shanti March started from Teacher Bahavan Jammu where R R Bhatnagar Advisor flagged off Yatra and reached Kishtwar today after passing through various districts.
