9/25/2022 10:28:40 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 25: Jammu Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) state president Rakesh Singh convened a meeting of core executive committee in Jammu to discuss the burning issues of Teachers the most important of which is DPC of Teachers and Masters to next higher cadre in order to meet deficiency of staff in rural areas .
Singh make a strong appeal to Principal Secretary Jenab Alok Kumar to continue the DPC of Teachers and Masters to Lecturers on fast track basis in order to fulfill all vacant posts of Lecturers in schools located in rural areas, as it has been seen that PRIs and Students hold regular protest due to deficiency of staff in their schools which ultimately adversely affected the academics of students. " "subjects should be introduced in newly upgraded schools and priority should be given to some subjects like biotechnology keeping in view its global potential in the market and many students who want to opt such subjects are deprived due to its non availability in the school's" Singh said.
Appreciating the farsightedness of Jenab Alok Kumar in framing policy, Singh welcomed the highly appreciated step of rationalization of staff , but suggested to rationalise posts of teachers instead of teachers which is a permanent solution of shortage of staff in rural areas.
Vivek Gupta General secretary appealed to release the Master Grade list of DPC which is still pending from many months within the week time and convert all Posts of SSA Headteachers to Non-plan posts in order to regularise them in order to resolve issue of salary of SSA Headteachers and this step will also pave way of DPC of More teacher's to masters ,which will be revolutionary step to meet out deficiency of staff in rural areas. Ajay Kumar District President raised issue of Annual GPF statement and urged Hono'ble Lieutenant Governor to issue instructions to all DDOs to provide annual GPF statement through pay centres before 30th May every year , as teachers are harassed to obtain the same from offices.
Vikram Gupta State vice president urged Principal Secretary to resolve the issue of Pay anomaly of 2009 batch teachers by issuing formal order in this regard in their favour by allowing them to exercise option under 7th pay commission, the file of which is already lying on his table.
