KATRA, Sept 27: After presenting two Full length Musical Play "Maa Sheranwali" (Maa Vaishnavi)" at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu. The Renowned artists of the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Janipur Jammu, Mega Classical dance Shiv Statuti" based on the three Sanskrit Shlokas of Yujurveda "Om Sankapam Astu" at Inguragal function of the said festival at Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Katra J&K (The nine auspicious days of navratrs organized by Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Govt. of India and various deptts. of the J&K-UT, Navratra Festival Committee Katra. The programs was ingurated Jointly by Dr. M.L. Dogra, Former Regional Director, song and Drama Division & Gulam Abbas, Joint Director CBC after lighting the Traditional lamp along with Nodal Officer Khurshed Yousaf, Neeraj Verma, Durga Parkash. The Senior Officials of the Deppt. Sunil Sharma, Varinder Kapdida, Ram Lal, Sunita Atri & Tech. Staff from delhi were also present on the occasion. The Renowned Multitalented (Director, Actor, Choreographer, writer) Dr.M.L. Dogra, chairman BLSKS facilitated with momentous for his outstanding contribution for promotion of Cultural & awareness programs of Govt. Programs and Policies Govt. of India by Central Bureau of communication at Katra Navatra Festival 2022 by the Babila Rakwal, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi & Abdul Star, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi and with the auspicious hands. The Troupes from various state of India Like Haryana, Punjab, Himachal, Orrisa, West Bengal, Assam, Kashmir, and duggar land were presented various items of India & Created national Integration. The progame was conducted by the Ritu Sharma. Welcome address of Gulam abbas explained the various component of the dept. CBC appreciated the work of the deptt. officials and artistes.
Dr. M.L. Dogra, chairman BLSKS disclosed the National level Navratra Festival was conceived & started by him as Yearly Mega Event, in Govt. Hr. Sec School, Katra with procession during the year 1997 then Regional Director, Song and Drama Division in co-ordination with Cultural Association Katra Surinder, Sham Sharma, Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, S.M. Sahni, Director Tourism Dept. J&K Govt for the first time then the Play was inaugurated by Union Minster Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Minister of Civil Aviation, "Maa Sherenwali" was also presented at Abhinav Theatre and other venues in 2016 & Dogra also said the historical, Puranic & Legendary references of the abode of "Mata Vaishnavi" an incarnation of three supreme energies Mata Kali, Mata Lakshmi & Mata Sarswati. The play revolves around various facets of Mata's life & her teachings to the mankind. Thus the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is unique in the entire world. The origin of Vaishno Devi is as mysterious as it is about several other shrines from the past era. The play proved an asset for adolescent girls for upholding their dignity as advocated strongly in "MAA SHERANWALI" through her actions to mitigate the suffering of Mankind &Instigate a new insight in glorifying the contribution of mother's power & in getting rid of the social evils which are still prevailing in our society.
The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, M.C. Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Sahil Gill, Sant Dass, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Zulekha Farid, Chahat Chadha, Kamla Devi, Vijay Kumar, Priya Sharma, Bhawana Goswami, Tanvi Sharma, John presented the enthralled performance. The Senior Stage Decorator Durga parkash presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
