NSS volunteers along with the students of the school made posters on clean India, Swacchh Bharat, water management, say no to Single Use Plastic. Swcchhta pledge was taken by the staff and students of the school along with NSS volunteers by NSS Program Officer Dr. Deepali Mahajan. Under Phase II of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) NSS volunteers need to reinforce cleanliness behaviours and focussing on providing interventions for the safe management of solid and liquid waste in villages. To make cleanliness and sanitation an integral part of the Gandhian way of living. Gandhi ji dream was total sanitation for all. Cleanliness is most important for physical well-being and a healthy environment. It is important for the overall development of citizens in terms of health and well-being. Garbage and wastes are serious threats facing the nation. Cleanliness is our right, and it is also quintessential whether it is our home, public areas or workplaces. Every citizen has to contribute to make India clean and green.
The NSS unit should ignite and raise the level of environment consciousness among youths and made them responsible towards the conservation and preservation of clean and green environment.
