Pakistan loots Muzaffarabad minerals, Kashmiris protest
9/28/2022 10:59:54 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 28: In a significant development of far reaching consequences, the people living in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir or POK have staged protest demonstrations against Pakistan for looting their mineral resources.
The sources said government of India has received credible inputs that Pakistan was resorting to the plunder of the mineral resources in POK for its vested interests and that the locals have objected to the move through protests.
The sources said the Indian government has also received details of the protest demonstrations held in POK, especially in Muzaffarabad. The people are understood to have protested that Pakistan has leased out the mineral mines to some influential people.
Sources said the locals of Muzaffarabad are planning major agitation against the issue and that the ISI and Pakistani army were trying to muzzle such voices.
What is interesting is that the people of POK have “started raising voice against the draconian rule of Pakistan” in the territory which actually belongs to India.
The sources said the matter was being brought to the notice of the Union government in New Delhi and that the centre was likely to raise the issue of plunder of POK before the international community.
Sources said the Government of India was working on a plan to get digital evidence of the plunder and the public protests so that Pakistan is duly exposed before the international community.
Observers said the bold decision as taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the abrogation of the so called special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2019 has emboldened the people of Muzaffarabad to raise voice against the Pakistani aggression.
“See it has only been since the historic August decision that people of Muzaffarabad feel that time has come to expose Pakistan and to merge with India,” said an observer.
