It was a part of the Congress party's initiative, the Ward Level Program Contacted to reach the local people of Jammu at the grassroots level and take stock of troubles being faced by them.
It was observed that the streets are in a very bad condition for the last 2 to 3 years and the infants & children’s are unable to walk over and most of the times they fell and get hurt severely but still this area of ward no. 5, is overlooked and required repairs with immediate effects. The reparative of the BJP Govt has never visited the area and never heard the problem of the people. BJP Govt. has announced the Jammu as Smart city but on the other hand no concrete steps have been taken by the BJP Govt. to make Jammu as Smart City. But the people of Jammu are still looking forward of this dream of the Jammu as Smart city comes true.
The complaint was already raised by the Concerned Municipal Corporator to the JMC but still remain un-address & no action or steps taken to resolve these issue even complaints given by Elected/ Nominated member.
Gurmeet Singh toured the ward no. 5, and heard the concerns of the residents and assured them he would take their issues, including the problem of and water shortage and urge the authorities and to look into their grievances. The high mast light at the Near Street lane Back side DC office has also been not functioning since long time but no one has come to repair them or trouble shot these issues.
