Weekly Block Diwas held at Panchayat Seela

REASI, Nov 23: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Babila Rakwal today visited Panchyat Ghar Seela of Block Reasi and listened to scores of public issues and demands at the weekly Block Diwas programme. During public outreach program, PRI members and general public of adjoining panchayats raised several issues related to road and construction of passenger Shed at W.No.3, 4& 5, Land compensation, Monkey menace, Hiking of milk rates, Acute shortage of drinking water supply to W. No 5 etc . The DDC also inspected new garbage dumping site of Municipality at Seela, NABARD funded road , GRS of JJM, RDD works, Anganwardi Centre at Seela and directed to maintain records pertaining to health of beneficiaries in more details and maintenance of Poshan Vatika in all Anganwadi Centres, so that healthy nutritional diet can be given to children. The DDC exhorted the general public and their representatives to work in tandem with the line department for effective execution and monitoring of the schemes in the larger interest of the general public. She added that PRIs shall focus on sanitary needs of their Panchayats by constructing Soakage/Composed pits under MGNREGA and Swacchh Bharat Mission Gramin.
While interacting with the PRIs and general public of the area, the DC said that such platforms enable the District administration to know the problems being faced by the people. She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and UT Government.
Among others, ADDC Jyoti Salathia, ACD Reasi Anirudh Rai, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, Ad Fisheries, Tehsildar, BDO and a large number of PRI members of Panchayat Seela.
