Dy Commissioner finalizes action plan for implementation of PMKKKY, conducts SSB exams

JAMMU, Nov 24: Deputy Commissioner Jammu today convened meetings with the concerned officers to finalize the action plan for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojna (PMKKKY) and arrangements for the conduct of JKSSB examinations.
The meeting was informed that recruitment examinations regarding various posts of different departments will be conducted from 29th of Nov. to20th of Dec. in 11 centres of district Jammu.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the stakeholder departments to make adequate arrangements to ensure conduct of free and fair examinations. She strictly directed that no one should be allowed in the centres before the examinations. She gave clear instructions that Smart Watches, Bluetooth, Mobiles, Navigators and other objectionable things, which are banned in examination centres, must not be allowed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned official to make arrangements for uninterrupted power supply to the centres during the exams. She also asked the CMO to arrange first aid medical facilities at all the examination centres, to deal with any medical emergency.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the ACR to conduct a visit to all the centres before the examination to review the arrangements.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also convened a meeting to finalize the annual action plan for the implementation of PMKKKY.
The meeting was informed that 30 minor mineral blocks, located in 8 CD Blocks and 13 Panchayats, are functional in Jammu District.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to construct community sanitary complexes at mine sites including 2 each at Khatar, Chowki Choura and Khara and one each at Jad, Garghal and Manwal.
She also directed the stakeholders to install electric water coolers in schools, medical equipment in health centres, provide solar lights to locals, conduct plantation drives, establish old age clubs and skill development of self help groups as mandated under the Yojana.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the PMKKKY has been initiated by the central government for the welfare of people and areas affected by mining related activities.
