DDC Rajouri reviews preparedness for upcoming My Town My Pride 2.0 program

RAJOURI, Nov 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today convened a joint meeting of the representatives of urban local bodies and officers to review the preparedness for the upcoming “My Town My Pride 2.0” programme.
At the outset, it was informed that prior to the commencement of the two day long ‘My Town My Pride’ program, seven day Jan Abhiyan would be held in all the ULBs from 28th November to 04th December.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on activities to be conducted during the Jan Abhiyan like formulation of city resource mobilization plan, city livelihood plan, city beautification plan, city smart vending plan, city tourism and culture plan; green city plan etc.
Officers and field functionaries of different Departments would also inform the public about the Government schemes and welfare programs and provide benefits to the common masses under these schemes.
Speaking in the meeting, the DDC asked the stakeholder departments to all-out efforts to realise the set goals by reaching out to urban population with Governance at their doorsteps and ensuring on spot redressal of their issues and grievances.
He said that the two-day long flagship program ‘My Town My Pride’ for the Urban areas would be conducted on the lines of Back to Village programme during which camps would be conducted to listen to the public grievances and provide people different Government services at their doorsteps.
Among the others present at the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; President MC Rajouri, Mohammad Arief; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; LDM, Sanjeev Bhasin; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; AD Planning, Mohammad Rafi and other concerned officers.
