Progress of CD Panchayat works reviewed in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Dec 3: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress on CD Panchayat works being executed by the Rural Development Department in the district.
At the outset of the meeting, Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar apprised that out of 151 CD Panchayat works, the tenders for 124 works have been allotted. It was also informed that as many as 32 works are complete and 86 are in progress. The DDC stressed on tendering of the rest of the works at the earliest.
Taking note of the financial progress of the works, it was informed that against the release of Rs 2.4. crore, an expenditure of Rs 29.53 lakh has been incurred till date.
The DDC asked the RDD to expedite the process and ensure that works are completed within the stipulated timeline.
The DDC also stressed on close monitoring of the works to maintain quality while executing works and said that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.
Officers present in the meeting were Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; Executive Engineer REW, Zahir Khan; AD Planning, Bansi Lal; BDO Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat and AEE REW, Ather Parwaiz.
