NSF celebrates birth anniversary of Khudiram Bose

JAMMU, Dec 3: National Secular Forum (NSF), University Unit organized a programmed in University Campus, and on the Birth anniversary of Khudiram Bose who laid his life for the country. Amid slogans "Khudiram Bose Amar Raha '"inqulaab Zindabad" 'Bharat Mata ki jai", and they paid tributes to Khudiram Bose and garlanded the portrait of the son of soil.
Zonal Secretary, JKNC was the Chief Guest and Dr. TR Sharma (Retd KAS) presided over the function. Dr Sukhdev Singh President NSF was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vikas Sharma appreciated the efforts of NSF members to come forwarded and organized these function. He also said that right tribute to Khudiram Bose would be to launch struggle for restoration of full status of Jammu and Kashmir State. On this occasion, he said that we all should take oath not to sit silent and continue our endeavor to regain Jammu and Kashmir State. He mentioned that people have suffered a lot during the last three years especially after the abrogation of Article 370, bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir and downgraded of State to a Union Territory.
Referring to the unemployment problem, Dr. Vikas said that youth is very disturbed due to wrong policies of the Govt with graph of unemployment is growing fast. Mixture of religion with politics is destroying the country and hoodwinking the common masses to achieve their vicious agenda. Cautioning the public, Dr. Vikas said we have to make all out efforts to expose such black sheeps in the system in the overall interest of public. He mentioned that during the janab Omar Abdullah led NC government, jobs were provided to large number of youth, RTI Act was enacted to eradicate corruption and several other revolutionary steps were taken to push J&K on the path of development. Dr Sharma urged the youth to come together on a single platform to push for this demand. NC would leave no stone unturned to achieve statehood for J&K.
TR Sharma addressing on this occasion said that Many freedom fighters laid down their life for the sake of the independence of this country. One of the youngest people to walk to the gallows fighting for India's independence was Khudiram Bose.
On December 3, 1889, Khudiram was born in West Bengal's Midnapore district to Trailokyanath Bose and Lakshmipriya Devi. Khudiram was the only brother to three sisters. Both his parents passed away when he was a child. Khudiram was brought up by his eldest sister, Aparupa Roy.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Sukhdev Singh said that J&K suffered immensely due to misadventures of Centre. Post abrogation of statehood people here were suffering due to rising unemployment, inflation and discrimination.
Vikshay Vashist District President was delivered the welcome address; Roshan Sharma University President was delivering the vote of thanks.
Among those who were present on the occasion included, Sahil Sharma, Ankush Babu, Nitin Manhas, Rashid Shah, Abhishek UPPAL, Vishal Sharma, Zafar Iqbal,Yasir Iqbal, Vinay Sharma, Viren Nagotra,Tufail Khan, Puneet Bakshi, Navdeep and Pankaj Sharma.
