Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 3: Kartar Public School ,Kathua hosted 'Inter-School Story Telling Competition - Nanhe Kalavant under the aegis of Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu. Prestigious schools of Jammu and Kathua regions participated in the competition. The programme started with the lighting of lamps, followed by a riveting 'Sarswati Vandana' performed by the students of the host School. Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary Art and Culture Academy, JKUT graced the occasion as chief guest while special guest for the occasion was S. KCS Mehta, Mentor JSSC and Principal IDPS Akhnoor accompanied by Dr Mukteshwari Sharma , Asst Professor Govt Degree College for Women, Udhampur, Principal IDPs Kathua, JKPS Kathua, HPCS Kathua. The panel of jury included renowned Educationist Rita Sharma , Lecturer Hindi GHS Sallan and Rajni Sharma Chairman KPS Er Nirmaljit Singh ,Principal of the School,Mrs Harpreet Kour, Vice-Principal Mrs Neeraj Thakur, AO Upinder Singh Bandral extended bouquets as a welcome gesture to all the dignitaries. Chief Guest, Dr Arvinder Singh stressed on the importance of stories and the need to establish the appreciation for stories and values associated with them in the hearts of the new generation and reinforce the same by organising more such events. The first prize was bagged by Sai International School , Second Prize by APS Miran Sahib, Third Prize by APS Damana, Consolation Prize by Mount Litera Zee School, Kathua. The chief guest and the jury members handed over the trophies and certificates to the winning schools and the participants respectively. |
