Jodhamal's Junior Wing celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Dec 3: Jodhamal Public School celebrated its eighteenth junior Wing Annual Day on Saturday, the 3rd of December, 2022 amidst great zest and vibrancy. Rohit Kansal (IAS), Additional Secretary, Government of India was the esteemed chief guest. Bhupinder Kumar, IAS Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, J&K was the guest of honour. Among the Dignitaries present were Sanjeev Verma (IAS) Commissioner Secretary, Piyush Singla (IAS) Secretary GAD, Prithipal Singh (IPS) DIG, Baljeet Kaur (IRS) Additional Commissioner Income Tax and Ankita Kar Additional Commissioner Tax and MD MTRS.
Among the management, present were Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee, Arati Kuthiala, Director, Dr. Deep Khare, Principal and Shefali Sanwal, Vice-Principal.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp to invoke God's blessings. This entailed the welcome speech by Sarojj, Coordinator, Junior Wing.
Annual report of the session was released and read by the Principal Dr. Deep Khare. He congratulated the school stakeholder for the No. 1 ranking of the school in Jammu and Kashmir by the most prestigious journal, Education World for the 8th consecutive year presented to the top schools Pan India. Jodhamal School had the rare honour and distinction of being awarded the 'GREAT PLACE TO STUDY' at the House of Commons, London. Very proudly, he applauded the winning of Racing Team 'Helios' for their creditable conquest at world finals 2022, SILVERSTONE UK. He further added 'The Exceptional Schools of India' award ensnared by Jodhamal public school in Global Educators fest among 25 schools PAN India 2022 held at Jaipur. Another commendation was the School of Eminence Award earned by Jodhamal Public School in 2021 amongst 80 schools PAN India. In addition to the above, Harmanjot Singh won the most prestigious award, The Pradhanmantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar by PM Modi. Secondly, being conferred with Diana Award initiated and supported by ROYAL BRITISH FAMILY was yet another feather to his cap. Keeping the tradition alive, the National award winning team of India Today News Wiz Quiz was also felicitated. Aiming to reciprocate the community, various academic, sports and cocurricular awards were presented as a token of appreciation gratitude.
Nandan Kuthiala, The Trustee, spoke of the future plans and presented his vision for the progress of the school. The highlight of the Show 'Guru Vandana' was presented with Grace, Poise, Rhythm perfect Synchronization. The children infused the feeling of Devotion Introspection to augment Soul Searching. Students represented the historical art and culture of our country depicting the journey of dance from the ancient Era (The Nritya Natalika Period) to the modern Technical Era through different dance forms and drama. The name of the play was 'Evolution of Dance'. Rajasthani, Gujarati, Bihu and Dogri folk dances were performed by students with dramatic expression combined with rhythmic intricacy left the audience spellbound. The basic purpose of the whole play was to make the people understand the intensity of our Indian dance forms. The Costume Make-up Departments out did themselves for the same. The hard work toil of the Art, Craft Department reflected vividly through the 3D props displayed on Stage. All the spectators were spellbound to see the energetic and iconic performances displayed by the students, Jodhamal School believes in making the students self-reliant, conscious and responsible citizens of the society. Deepali Puri, the CCA Coordinator presided over the prize giving ceremony, the event was anchored by Sarojj and Smriti Malhotra, the Coordinators of Junior Wing. On behalf of Team Jodhamal the main awards were received by the CCA Prefects.
Overall planner and management of the events was Deepali Puri. The play was directed by Sakshi and Meenu Kesar. Dances were choreographed by Aarti Mahajan, Shivali Rai and Shruti Bakshi. Compering was done by Sarojj. Prize distribution was concluded by Shilpi Saroch, Smriti Malhotra and Bhupinder Kour. Vote of thanks was given by Deputy Head boy, Lakshav Singh Sambyal.
