OBCs to get due representation, if we win election: Adv Dogra
12/6/2022 10:39:50 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: In a meeting of the OBC Deptt. JKPCC under the Presidentship of the Chairman of the wing Adv. Suresh Dogra in which the matter of recent Government notification regarding addition of more castes & ethnic groups in OBCs/ OSCs,dated 19th of Oct 2022 bearing no: S.O. 537 was discussed threadbare and all the participants whole heartedly accepted the inclusion of all the Castes except WPR, Acharya & Pony walas as WPR (West pakistani Refugees) as WPR is not a caste but a group of castes.
When it is written the word except SC refugees, it means there are other so many castes which will automatically be included into the OBC category unconstitutionally
Similarly S.No.42 namely Acharya is also not a caste.Pony walas is also not a caste,it means the person who will purchase pony for his livelihood would be considered OBC,
All members unanimously rejected the decision of the govt. for the inclusion of a group of castes on the name of WPR ,Acharya & Pony walas.
Adv.Suresh Dogra Chairman OBC Deptt. Pradesh Congress committee J&K said that the Centre Govt.always befool the poor people of OBCs of Jammu & Kashmir.Dogra further added that Congress party always have a positive approach towards socially, educationally & economically weaker section. We will give due share to OBCs of Jammu &Kashmir,if we come in powe & win election.Implemention of Mandal Commission report in Jammu and Kashmir shall be the main agenda of OBC Deptt.JKPCC under which nomenclature '"OSC" should have been changed to OBC which guarantties 27% reservation quota to OBCs.
All the speakers and participants appealed to OBCs to remain vigilant from the anti OBC activities of Govt.and be remained United for a big struggle in future as govt intends to snatch the due share of the OBCs by doing wrong inclusions of Non OBC categories into the OBC list to corner maximum job share for the Non OBC categories after meeting all the members gathered at shaheedi chowk Jammu & raised slogans against Govt.to fulfill the demands of Other Backward classes.
Those who participated Parshotam Mehra (Vice Chairman OBC Deptt. JKPCC) Vijay Verma (General Secy) Raj Kumar Mehra, Raj Kumar Khanmotra, Jagdish Kashyap, Sunny Mehra, Sourav Mehra, Gourav, Surjit, Ankush, Surjit Kumar, Chandan & others were present there.
