ADDC Rajouri reviews implementation of project Unnati

RAJOURI, Jan 21: Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the implementation of project Unnati. Officers present in the meeting included Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Sheraz Chowhan and Block Development Officers.
Project Unnati is aimed at training unskilled MGNREGA workers to improve their skill base. The scheme is meant to train one adult member (between 18 and 45 years) per household, who has completed 100 days of work under MGNREGA in the previous financial year. The registration of candidates is done through Aadhaar identification.
The ADDC inquired about the progress achieved under the scheme and the concerned officers apprised the meeting about the same.
The ADDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that maximum MGNREGA workers are trained under the program in order to equip them with better employment opportunities.
