Vishwa Bharati celebrates Republic Day, Basant Panchami

JAMMU, Jan 25: Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated 74th Republic Day with tremendous patriotic fervor and gaiety in the school campus. As the republic Day is marked by the pride and prestige for all Indians, awe- inspiring preparations were made for the celebration by students and teachers.
Whole stage was marvelously decorated with flowers and buntings. All the teachers and students assembled in the school ground. The programme commenced with Ganesh Vandana and followed by lamp- ignition and a series of patriotic dance and song items which enthralled everyone by infusing a spirit of patriotism and nationalism. Some students and teachers delivered their eloquent speeches on the Republic Day and significance of becoming India a republic for the etablishment of largest successful democracy. As the Basant Panchami is also coinciding with Republic Day, it was also celebrated in the school by chanting Sarasvati Vandana and holy verses dedicated to Goddess Sarasvati, the Goddess of wisdom.
School Principal Mrs. Annapurna Koul in her short speech wished Happy Republic Day and Happy Basant Panchami to students and motivated them to work hard and become good citizens of the country. The whole programme concluded with the singing of National anthem by whole audience.
