Samba police apprehends notorious drug supplier under PITNDPS Act

SAMBA, Apr 10: In a decisive crackdown on the illicit drug trade, Samba Police, under the vigilant supervision of SSP Samba Vinay Kumar-JKPS, has apprehended and incarcerated notorious drug supplier Farman Ali, alias Munna, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act. The detention, sanctioned by the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies to curb drug-related offenses in the region.
Farman Ali, known by his alias Munna, hails from Krail Manhasa in tehsil Bishnah, district Jammu, with a temporary abode in Balole Khad Bari Brahmana, district Samba. His involvement in multiple NDPS cases registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana has posed a grave threat to public health and welfare, warranting decisive action from law enforcement authorities.
The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, issued a detention order against Farman Ali, based on a meticulously compiled dossier prepared by SSP Samba, highlighting his repeated engagement in drug trafficking activities. The swift execution of the warrant by the police team, led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, resulted in the successful apprehension of the notorious drug supplier.
Following his detention, Farman Ali, alias Munna, has been lodged in District Jail Kathua, ensuring that he remains removed from society and unable to further perpetrate drug-related crimes. The action taken by Samba Police sends a resolute message to individuals involved in the narcotics trade, reaffirming the authorities' commitment to maintaining law and order and safeguarding the well-being of citizens.
