Jammu, May 6: In a dazzling fusion of creativity and community spirit, Jammu witnessed the debut of Gulab - A Spectacular Night Soiree at the historic Hari Niwas Palace. Spearheaded by the visionary Kuwarani Ritu Singh and the dynamic team at Runway Diaries, this transformative event unfolded on May 4th, 2024, heralding a new era of celebration for the region’s art, culture, and entrepreneurial vigor.
The grandeur of Hari Niwas Palace provided an enchanting backdrop as Gulab unfolded into a bustling marketplace, boasting 68 stalls that showcased the vibrant tapestry of Jammu’s cultural heritage. Among these, 16 stalls curated by the Army Wives Welfare Association offered a poignant glimpse into the talents and resilience of military families, bridging gaps and fostering unity within the community.
From the intricately crafted designs of Chitran to the delectable flavors of Vanilla Beans, Gulab featured a diverse array of brands that illuminated the cultural and entrepreneurial landscape of Jammu.
Young innovators seized the spotlight, echoing Kuwarani Ritu Singh’s vision of placing J&K prominently on the world map.
Culinary delights took center stage, with stalls offering a tantalizing array of dishes representing the finest cuisines of Jammu and Kashmir. Traditional delicacies and modern interpretations delighted the palates of over 4000 guests, including dignitaries and representatives from various chambers of commerce and industry.
The evening was further elevated by the enchanting melodies of renowned singers Sonali Dogra and Rikki, accompanied by the rhythmic performances of local musicians, artisans, and dancers. Their artistry served as a testament to the cultural richness that defines Jammu and its people.
Distinguished guests, including Mr. Bhatnagar, Advisor to Governor, and Major General Gaurav Gautam GOC, graced Gulab with their esteemed presence, underscoring the importance of collaboration between civilians and the armed forces in promoting economic growth and community development.
Gulab’s charm was augmented by the generosity of its gifting partners, who provided thoughtful tokens of luxury and delight, complementing the festive atmosphere and leaving guests with cherished memories.
As the night unfolded, visitors reveled in the festivities until midnight, enjoying shopping, entertainment, and culinary delights. The event garnered widespread attention from media houses, cementing its status as a cultural milestone and a testament to the vibrancy of Jammu’s creative community.
