JAMMU, Jan 27: GDC Hiranagar celebrated the 76th Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit under the leadership of Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the college. The event began with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem.
The program featured inspiring speeches by Dr. Vijay Chouhan, Dr. Sharma Ritu Raj Kumar, and NSS volunteer Dakshita. Cultural performances by students, including solo and group patriotic songs, added a vibrant touch to the occasion. The success of the event was credited to the efforts of the Cultural Committee Convener, Prof. Kawaljit Kour; Physical Director, Dr. Balbir Singh Chib; and NSS Program Officer, Prof. Shapia Shameem. They were supported by faculty members, including Prof. Poonam Kamotra, Dr. Rajesh, Dr. Bhavana Jamwal, Dr. Rajni, Dr. Poonam Rani, Prof. Balvinder, Prof. Namrata, Prof. Tamanna, Dr. Inaam, Dr. Aditi, Niharika, and others.
Dr. Pragya Khanna addressed the gathering, encouraging everyone to strive for excellence in future endeavors. The event also marked the release of a QR, followed by the distribution of medals to participants. Saloni served as the overall student in-charge, while Shavi, an NSS volunteer, hosted the event as the compere. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Shivani Slathia, HOD Education.
The celebration ended on a sweet note with the distribution of refreshments and sweets to the students, making it a memorable occasion for all. |
