| GDC RS Pura organies student’s panel discussion | | |  Early Times Report
RS PURA, Feb 20: The students of Department of Political Science came together for an engaging and thought-provoking panel discussion on the theme "Exploring the Preamble and the Relationship Between Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties." The event was organized as a part of series of activities celebrating 75 years of constitution. The event provided a platform for young minds to delve into the core values of the Indian Constitution and reflect on their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
The discussion featured a diverse group of students, along with esteemed faculty members who analyzed the significance of the Preamble as the guiding philosophy of the Constitution. The panelists examined how Fundamental Rights empower citizens and how Fundamental Duties serve as their ethical counterbalance, fostering a sense of responsibility toward the nation.
The discussion started with the formal welcome address by Ms. Vijeeta Anand, Assistant Professor. The session initiated with the words of Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour highlighted the need for a balanced approach to rights and duties, emphasizing that an aware and responsible citizenry is essential for the country's progress. Students made thought-provoking discussions centered around real-world applications, historical perspectives, and contemporary challenges in upholding constitutional values.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants shared insights and perspectives, making it a truly enriching experience for all involved.
