2/24/2025 10:35:24 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 24: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, lauded the Modi Government for ushering in a new era of women empowerment through revolutionary policies and structural reforms.
Speaking at a gathering of BJP women leaders here today, the BJP stalwart asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governance has not only transformed India's economy but has also placed women at the center of the nation's development. He emphasized that the past decade under Modi's leadership has been marked by historic initiatives that have empowered women socially, economically, and politically, ensuring their rightful place in nation-building.
The senior BJP leader highlighted that India's economy is now the fastest-growing among all major global economies, a testament to the success of Modi Government's visionary approach. He noted that the transformative work undertaken in the past two terms has created an environment where women are no longer seen as beneficiaries but as equal partners in progress. The Union Budget further reinforces this commitment by introducing landmark initiatives focused on women's financial independence, entrepreneurship, and welfare, he added.
Kavinder mentioned that the Modi Government has taken decisive steps to support women entrepreneurs, including the introduction of 'Customized Credit Cards' with a ?5 lakh limit for micro-enterprises, enabling financial inclusion at an unprecedented scale, in the Union Budget 2025-26. Additionally, the creation of a ?10,000 crore Fund of Funds for startups will provide immense opportunities for women-led businesses to flourish. To further promote inclusivity, the Modi government has also launched a special scheme for 5 lakh first-time women entrepreneurs from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, ensuring that empowerment reaches the grassroots level, he added.
Kavinder also lauded the Central Government's unwavering focus on the well-being of women and children through initiatives like Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, which provide essential nutritional support to over 8 crore children, 1 crore pregnant and lactating mothers, and 20 lakh adolescent girls across the country. He hailed these measures as a significant step towards securing the health and future of India's next generation.
Praising PM Modi's commitment to recognizing women's achievements, Kavinder stated that on March 8, International Women's Day, inspiring stories of women changemakers will be showcased through the Prime Minister's social media platforms, further motivating millions of young women to strive for excellence.
Kavinder asserted that today's women are unstoppable, breaking barriers in every field and proving their capabilities beyond doubt. He appealed to the women of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and take full advantage of the welfare schemes initiated by the Modi Government, emphasizing that these initiatives are designed to empower them economically, socially, and politically, ensuring a brighter and more self-reliant future.
