Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 8: Government Degree College (GDC) Ghagwal celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm under the patronage of Madam Principal Dr. Sujata Slathia. The event was coordinated by Dr. Bavita Kumari, Cultural Convenor, and Dr. Vani Awasthi, NSS Program Officer. The celebration witnessed the esteemed presence of Prof. Ramzan Ali (Senior Professor) and Prof. Vijay Kumar, along with the participation of all faculty members and students. To honor the occasion, a special documentary showcasing the contributions of 15 remarkable women in the making of the Indian Constitution was screened, enlightening the audience about their pivotal role in shaping the nation. Adding vibrancy to the event, girl students presented a graceful Gujarati folk dance, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India. Recognizing academic excellence, 10 meritorious girl students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements. The highlight of the event was an inspiring and motivational address by Principal Dr. Sujata Slathia, encouraging young women to strive for success and empowerment in all spheres of life.
