GGM Science College organizes Poster Making Competition

JAMMU, Mar 24: The NSS Units of GGM Science College, in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Science and the Department of Zoology, organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme "Water and Forest Conservation." The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of conserving natural resources and promoting sustainable practices.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta addressed the gathering, emphasizing the critical role of youth in environmental conservation. He encouraged students to take proactive steps toward protecting nature and spreading awareness in their communities.
The event was successfully coordinated by NSS Program Officers Dr. Rahul Kait and Dr. Neha Sharma.
Dr. Brinder Kumar, Prof. BalKrishan, and Prof. Reetika from the Department of Zoology served as judges, evaluating the creative and insightful posters presented by the participants. A total of fifty NSS volunteers participated in the competition, showcasing their artistic skills and commitment to environmental awareness. The winners of the competition were:
First Position was bagged by Sana, the Second Position by Anshika whereas the Third Position was shared by Ansh and Yogesh.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Neha Sharma, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team, judges, and participants in making the competition a resounding success.
