REASI, Mar 28: Acting swiftly on credible information received from reliable sources, Police Station Katra registered a case against one individual for creating panic and threatening the safety of residents in the Matyal area of Katra, District Reasi. The accused identified as Vikas Sharma @Viku Matrian S/O Lt. Bodh Raj Sharma R/O Matyal, opposite Hotel Jagdish, Katra, was allegedly seen wandering around the Matyal locality, armed with a sharp weapon (Toka) and threatening the people in the area.
Upon receiving this information, a police team from P/S Katra immediately took cognizance of the matter and initiated action to ensure public safety.
On this regard, a case FIR No. 85/2025 U/S 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway.
