J&K 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum elects new leadership

JAMMU, Apr 1: The All J&K 1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a General Body Meeting under the leadership of its outgoing President, Sardar Advocate Amrik Singh, to elect a new executive body. The meeting was attended by distinguished members, intellectuals, and community representatives committed to the cause of PoJK Sharnarthis.
The house unanimously appointed Professor K.D. Singh as the Returning Officer. Following the dissolution of the previous executive body, Professor Singh initiated the election process. Senior Forum member Sardar Naseeb Singh proposed Advocate Amrik Singh's name for the President's post, seconded by Sardar Surjeet Singh. The house unanimously re-elected Advocate Amrik Singh, authorizing him to constitute the new executive team.

Additionally, 32 core committee members were elected to strengthen the Forum's operations.
President Amrik Singh expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Forum's objectives. He emphasized unity and strategic action to secure justice, rehabilitation, and development opportunities for the PoJK Sharnarthi community. The Forum remains dedicated to addressing socio-political and economic challenges faced by displaced families.
