FICCI-FLO JKL Signs MOUs with JKDCF, UAMMCL to promote cooperatives

Jammu, Apr 8: To commemorate ongoing “International year of Cooperatives -2025” (UN Charter) The FICCI-FLO, Jammu-Kashmir & Ladakh chapter executed Two separate Bi-lateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with Unati Agri Allied and Marketing Multistate Cooperative Society Limited (UAMMCL) and Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation limited (JKDCF).
The MOU was signed between Aarti Chowdhary (Chairperson, FICCI-FLO JKL) and Vikrant Dogra (the Chairman, JKDCF and UAMMCL) under the auspicious presence of Ms Babila Rakwal (JKAS), the Commissioner Secretary Department of Cooperatives JKUT, AS REEN (the Director Agriculture, Jammu) along with other dignitaries of cooperative moment and department.
Speaking on the occasion Ms Babila Rakwal said that “In last three years the cooperative eco system has witnessed overhauling, since the formation of new Ministry of Cooperation, with over 54 schemes getting launched at National level, which can prove fruitful for entire economy especially rural areas where cooperatives get natural acceptance.
The civil society led organization like FICCI-FLO JKL coming out for helping cooperative societies at grass root level is evidence of the fact that cooperatives are now getting much needed attention which was necessary for its growth specially in the current international year of cooperation 2025.
Aarti Chowdhary said that slogan for IYC-2025 is That “The Cooperatives build a better world” and their organization FICCI-FLO main objective aligns with this slogan and they along with JKDCF and UAMMCL which is time tested cooperative organizations will work hand in hand too felicitate woman leadership and capacity building in Jammu and Kashmir(UT)
Maj Gen Goverdan singh Jamwal (retd.), Bal Krishan (additional, RCS), Tasbina Shiekh (DRCS),Ravi Shankar (AGM, Nabard) and Varuna Anand- Past Chairperson and National Intiative Head for Partnership and Collaboration were Varsha Bansal-Sr. Vice Chairperson, Rupika Sahai- Vice Chairperson, Sona Mehta-Treasurer, Shipra Aggarwal-Jt. Treasurer, Nandita Bajaj-Secretary, Pooja Dewan-Jt. Secretary were also present there at MOU signing.
