Sanjay Aggarwal Chairperson FADA called on Amitava Chatterjee MD & CEO J&K Bank

JAMMU, Apr 11: A delegation led by Mr Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson FADA, had a meeting with Mr Amitava Chatterjee, MD & CEO, Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
The meeting was attended by the owners of all the major automobile dealerships from Jammu. Sanjay Mahajan, Sahil Mahajan, Rohit Gandotra, Kanav Aggarwal, Ashish Gupta Regional Directors, FADA Jammu, and senior members Davinder Batra, Pardeep Jain, J S Isher were also present in the meeting. From J&K Bank Sunit Kumar General Manager and Narjay Gupta General Manager J&K Bank also attended the meeting.
Aggarwal discussed various issues of the dealers of automobile industry in J&K. He said that the banks and automobile business establishments have to work in close association with each other for the mutual benefit in the interest of customers.
He discussed the issue of prompt sanction and disbursement of car loan by the J&K Bank to the customers on the same day. He suggested placing loan facilitator of J&K bank at the dealerships to facilitate the car loan options to the customers, which will eventually increase the business for the bank. Special offers for the customers of J&K bank were also discussed.
He also discussed the issue of Inventory funding by J&K bank to automobile dealerships and requested to make the funding process easy and more competitive to bring it at par with other banks.
The discussion also ventured into joint promotional activities, suggesting a collaborative effort to enhance banks and dealers profitability. Aggarwal suggested that bank can place their promotional material, POS machines etc at the dealership and similarly dealership can place its promotional material at the banks.
Aggarwal shared that the automobile business in J&K is the largest employment generator and revenue collector for government in the UT of J&K. In the meeting it was further explored to enhance the partnership between automobile dealerships, bank and the customers.
Amitava Chatterjee gave a patient hearing and appreciated the concerns raised by Aggarwal and assured a immediate resolution for mutual benefit. He also said that the bank is ready to take every step for the of benefit of the dealers, bank and their customers.
Chatterjee suggested that meetings between the dealers and banks should be done on regular basis to understand their issues and bottlenecks so that it can be resolved at the earliest.
