JAMMU, Apr 11: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, ARI & Trainings, Satish Kumar Sharma, today inaugurated a three day painting exhibition at Kala Kendra, Jammu, showcasing the remarkable works of renowned artist Muneer Ali Khan.
The exhibition, being organized by Kala Kendra Jammu, featured a collection of art works that highlight the diverse and unique artistic vision of Khan.
In his welcome address, Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary of Kala Kendra, stated that the primary objective of today's exhibition is to promote creativity in arts and provide a platform for artists like Muneer Ali Khan to share their work with a wider audience. Kala Kendra is committed towards nurturing and celebrating the talent that contributes to our cultural richness.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized the importance of art in shaping cultural identity and inspiring the future generations. "Art and creativity are essential components of our culture and I am truly impressed by the talent and expression reflected in the paintings of Muneer Ali Khan. Events like this not only celebrate artistic excellence but also encourage our younger generation to engage with creative pursuits. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Kala Kendra for organizing such a purposeful exhibition", maintained the Minister.
He suggested that similar exhibitions should be held in various districts to bring art closer to the people and foster cultural awareness at the grassroots level.
The exhibition was also graced by the presence of noted journalist Zafar Choudhary, who shared his personal experience of being associated with Muneer Ali Khan's artistic journey over the years. "Muneer Ali Khan's work stands out for its diversity and imaginative expression. His art reflects deep thought, emotion and a distinctive creative approach. It is always a pleasure to witness his evolving style," asserted Choudhary.
Muneer Ali Khan expressed his gratitude to the organizers and attendees. He shared insights into his artistic process and the inspiration behind some of his key works on display. "I have organized several exhibitions over the years, but every opportunity to present my work is special. Art appreciation is essential for an artist's growth and motivation. I thank everyone who came today and took the time to engage with my work," said Khan.
