Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 11: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta said that the former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji devoted his entire life in the service of the nation and its people.
He was speaking while addressing a meeting of senior party colleagues at the BJP headquarters in Jammu. In the meeting, senior BJP leaders Parmod Kapahi, Sanjay Baru, Rekha Mahajan, Hari Dutt Shishu, Kulbhushan Mohtra, and Ramesh Katoch were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta described Vajpayee ji as the epitome of value-based politics. "Atal Ji never compromised on his principles and always kept the national interest above party or personal gains. His speeches in Hindi inspired generations and made every Indian proud of their language," he said.
He further said that Vajpayee ji believed in inclusive governance, democratic values, and fostering unity in diversity. He strongly advocated for cultural pride and was a supporter of the Dogri language being included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution, which was ultimately fulfilled under his leadership.
The former Deputy Chief Minister urged BJP workers to adopt the qualities of Atal Ji in their political and personal lives. "Every worker must take inspiration from his humility, vision, and unwavering commitment to the country," he said, adding that Atal Ji's politics was not just about winning elections but about winning hearts.
He said Vajpayee Ji's leadership during testing times, especially in the aftermath of the Kargil War and the Pokhran nuclear tests, showcased his statesmanship and courage. He also shared his memories and thoughts about Vajpayee ji's legacy and called for following his path of nation-first politics.
Kavinder said that the present BJP Government at the Centre, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is truly realizing the dreams of Atal Bihari Vajpayee by ensuring inclusive development, good governance, and national pride. "Modi ji's leadership reflects the same spirit of dedication and integrity that Atal ji stood for. Whether it is the abrogation of Article 370, massive infrastructure push, welfare schemes for the poor, or India's rising global stature - all these achievements are a continuation of Vajpayee ji's vision of a strong and self-reliant Bharat," he added.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to carry forward the ideals and vision of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji and work towards building a stronger, united, and self-reliant India.
