JAMMU, Apr 13: The JK PCC Chief Shri Tariq Hameed Karra said that Centre has failed to control the deteriorating security situation in Jammu Region which is a matter of great concern for all citizens who feel in secured especially in the rural and remote areas because of increased terror activities and infiltrations.
Addressing a meeting of senior party leaders, PCC ,DCC and Frontal Organizations leaders to take stock of the current political and security scenario besides discussing the arrangements for the three days visit of newly appointed General Secretary AICC Incharge J&K Affairs Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain (MP) from April 17th in Jammu, Shri Karra said that our security forces are bravely fighting terrorism and infiltration attempts from Pakistan but the deterioration in the situation is visible especially in Jammu Region for the last several months. This is a matter of great concern as the innocent people in the rural and remote areas are feeling insecure due to numerous incidents and presence of terrorists being spotted. The Centre must adopt more effective measures to contain the militancy with the cooperation of people.
The meeting was chaired by President PCC Shri Tariq Hameed Karra which was attended by Working Presidents Shri Tara Chand & Shri Raman Bhalla and Senior Congress leaders including Ch. Lal Singh, Shri Neeraj Kundan, Ravinder Sharma, Th. Balwan Singh, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma ,Ved Mahajan, Th. Manmohan Singh, Th. Balbir Singh, Hari Singh Chib, Rajnish Sharma, Haji Rashid, S.S. Channi, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Indu Pawar, Kanta Bhan, Yash Pal Kundal, Zahida Khan, Shri Narinder Sharma, Smt. Namrata Sharma, Krishan Chander Bhagat, Rajesh Sadotra, Balbir Singh, Subash Bhagat, Suresh Dogra, Sanjeev Panda , Sumit Mangotra, Babal Gupta, Hussain Ali Waffa, Bharat Priya, Madan Lal Chalotra, Ashok Bhagat, K.D. Singh, Hira Lal Pandita, Vijay Shastri, Sunny Parihar, Bhavishya Sudan, Jatin K Raina, Vijay Tagotra, Ricky Dalotra, Annirudh Sawhney, Ravi Sharma, Jatinder Singh, Firdos Mangnoo, Rajinder Kumar (Happy), Th. The PCC President disclosed that newly appointed AICC General Secretary shall be Arriving here on 17th April in the morning flight and shall be accorded rousing reception at the Airport and later address a workers convention at AFSAR Guest House Shaktinagar, Jammu. He shall have a meeting with the prominent PCC leaders, Dist Presidents and former legislators and frontal heads in the afternoon while he will meet different delegations from all districts of Jammu province and different block presidents to take stock of the organizational activities during his stay and he will be back on 19th .
He said that the party shall further gear up its activities in all parts of Jammu and Kashmir to intensify the struggle for statehood besides to high light the issues being faced by the people due to non fulfillment of various promises by the BJP dispensation for the last 10 years leading to compounding of the problems of unemployment, price rise , huge taxations and exploitation of natural resources.
The prominent leaders spoke in the meeting and gave their valuable inputs for strengthening the party and to fight for the rights of the people and against the politics of division AND Hatred by the BJP in order to divert the attention of people from the real issues faced by the common man.
