"Yoga Samavesh" held at GDC Ghagwal to promote health and mindfulness

GHAGWAL, Apr 18: In a commendable initiative to promote health, wellness, and mindfulness, a Yoga Signature Event themed "Yoga Samavesh" was successfully organized at Government Degree College, Ghagwal. The event commenced at 11:00 AM in the college premises and was marked by active and spirited participation from students, faculty, and invited officials.
Under the visionary leadership of Madam Principal Dr. Sujata Slathia, the event was executed with precision and grace. It was jointly coordinated by the NSS Unit of GDC Ghagwal, headed by Dr. Vani Awasthi, who played a key role in planning and organizing the programme, with the constant support from Dr. Bavita Kumari, Prof. Meenakshi Devi, Dr. Sajad and Dr. Irshad, who encouraged students and acknowledged the importance of integrating yoga into daily routines.
A team of dedicated officers and instructors was deputed for the smooth execution of the camp. The team included: Dr. Mahesh Kumar - Medical Officer, AHWC Nud, Dr. Pooja Sharma - Medical Officer, AHWC Ghagwal, Dr. Diviya Sharma - Medical Officer, GAD Chak Ram Chand, Raj Kumar - Supv. Pharmacist, AHWC Chalyari, Ram Parsad- Outsourced Attendant, DNO Ayush Samba, Dinesh Kumar - Yoga Instructor, AHWC Smailpur, Pooja Sharma - Yoga Instructor, AHWC Gho-Brahmana. Adding great value to the event, Ms. Deepanshi and Palak, students of Semester 2, delivered insightful talks highlighting the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Their speeches were well received and appreciated by the audience.
The highlight of the session was the active participation of the Principal, faculty members, and students in performing various yoga asanas under the guidance of trained instructors. The collective performance of yoga created an atmosphere of positivity, calm, and unity. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of AYUSH staff, NSS volunteers, and college administration for making the event a grand success.
