Implementation of E-Office System up to block level discussed

POONCH, Apr 24: Deputy Commissioner of Vikas Kundal chaired a critical meeting today in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office complex to review the implementation, extension, and operationalization of the E-Office system across all government offices in the district.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline government operations by digitizing processes and significantly reducing paper usage.
The meeting was attended by line department officers, including those from subdivisions, tehsils, blocks and the sectoral departments within Poonch.
Key topics discussed included, infrastructure requirements to support the E-Office system; Identification of existing challenges in the implementation process; Network Infrastructure Connectivity etc.
A detailed discussion was held on connectivity issues related to NICNET, SWAN, and BharatNet, as well as the overall IT infrastructure requirements necessary for effective implementation.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of timely action, instructing all district officers to compile a comprehensive list of all government offices operating in the district. Officers were asked to submit this information within two days to facilitate a smoother implementation process.
Additionally, all officers were directed to coordinate closely with the District Informatics Officer (DIO) of the National Informatics Centre to ensure a hassle-free rollout of the E-Office system.
The initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the broader goal of digital governance within the region.
