Kavinder slams Pakistan for ceasefire violations on LoC
4/26/2025 10:01:05 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 26: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta came down heavily on Pakistan for its repeated and unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. Expressing serious concern over the incidents of cross-border firing on the intervening nights of April 25 and 26 across multiple sectors, he termed the violence as a "cowardly and calculated attempt" by Pakistan to destabilize the region and divert global attention from its continued patronage of terrorist organizations.
"These repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan are not only a blatant breach of international norms and bilateral agreements but also a clear indication of their ongoing support to terrorism," he said and lauded the efforts of Indian Army for its swift and effective response to the provocations, while simultaneously ensuring the safety and security of local civilians living along the LoC.
Referring to the recent barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam, where 26 innocent Hindu tourists lost their lives, Kavinder reiterated that the perpetrators-along with those who support and shelter them-will not be spared. "The Modi government will not sit idle until the masterminds of this heinous act, sponsored and supported by Pakistan, are brought to justice," he asserted.
He echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's unwavering stance on terrorism, stating, "There will be no safe haven for terrorists or their backers. They will be tracked down and punished, no matter where they hide. India has adopted a policy of zero tolerance toward terrorism."
The senior BJP leader further appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to remain alert, united, and resilient in this critical fight against terrorism. He also urged the international community to break its silence and hold Pakistan accountable for continuously violating ceasefire agreements and sheltering terrorists on its soil.
"The sacrifices of those who lost their lives will not go in vain. Our fight against terrorism is resolute, and our commitment is unshakable. Justice will be delivered, and peace will prevail," he added.
