Dogra Law College shines at National Moot Court Competition

JAMMU, Apr 29: Dogra Law College, Bari-Brahmana, witnessed a proud moment as the management organized a felicitation ceremony to honour the achievements of Danish Tak, Manya Sehgal and Yogita (Students of BALLB 5-Year 8th Semester), who recently showcased their legal acumen at the National Moot Court Competition organised by the School of Law, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, on April 23 and 24, 2025.
The competition, which saw participation from top public and private universities across the country including Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Panjab University, Lovely Professional University and Chandigarh University etc. became a platform where the students of Dogra Law College stood out with their exceptional performance.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Education Minister and Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, applauded the students' hard work and perseverance, inspiring them to continue excelling in their future endeavours. The letter of appreciation was handed to the students by Chairman Sir.
Students, in turn, shared their experiences at the competition, expressing gratitude towards the college management and faculty members for their continuous encouragement and support. The atmosphere brimmed with pride when it was announced that Danish Tak had bagged the prestigious "Best Speaker" award, while the team secured an impressive fourth position among numerous competitive teams from across India.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including Dr. Samardev Singh Charak, Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust; Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges; Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges who also commenced the event with a welcome address, Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator, Dogra Educational Trust; and Dr. Jay Prakash Srivastava, Principal, Dogra Law College, along with faculty members and Students.
