Inter-School Zone Level U-14 Girls Tournament Organised at Reas

REASI, Apr 30: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Reasi, successfully organized the Inter-School Zone Level U-14 Girls Tournament. The event featured competitions in Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Tug of War, and was hosted at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Reasi.
Mr. Deepak Sharma, Principal of BHSS Reasi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address to the participants, Mr. Sharma emphasized the importance of sports in empowering young girls, stating, "Sports play a crucial role in transforming young girls into confident and strong women, instilling in them discipline, leadership, and a spirit of resilience."
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 314 girls representing 26 schools across Zone Reasi, showcasing the rising interest and talent of young girls in the field of sports.
Final Results:
Kho-Kho: Heritage Public School defeated Govt. High School Bhaga
Kabaddi: GMS Kun Sarhi defeated GHS Kambal Danga by 4 points
Tug of War: Gurukul HSS defeated MS Arli (2-1)
Volleyball: HS Kambal Danga defeated GMS Kayala (2-1)
The tournament was conducted under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Smt. Asha Devi. Lecturers Des Raj, Hukam Chand, and Rasveer Singh were also present during the event. The matches were officiated by officials deputed by the Zonal Physical Education Office.
