SKK Divyang shines in Higher secondary examination

JAMMU, Apr 30: The divyang students of the School for Hearing Handicapped, Jammu run by a well noted NGO, J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK), have excelled at the Higher Secondary examinations the result of which has been declared by the Board of School Education (BOSE)today. Once again, the school got 100 percent results with two deaf and dumb students getting distinction. Karanjeet Singh topped the school with 77.2 percent marks. Surekha Devi, hailing from Udhampur too got distinction with 74. 8 % marks. She has been getting a scholarship for her wellbeing from a Sweden based group. Three other students bagged first division.
For the last ten years, the School for Hearing Handicapped has been getting hundred percent results with many getting distinction.
As an incentive, the SKK has been awarding cash prizes to the class toppers of BOSE conducted examinations. For twelfth class, the cash award is Rs 5000/- For this year, the SKK will give cash awards to the teachers in whose subject the students get distinction.
The President of SKK, K B Jandial has congratulated the students and teachers for such outstanding results. The outstanding academic performance is the result of collective efforts of the students, teachers, and the parents.
