Early Times Report JAMMU, May 1: In a major action against drug trafficking, Jammu Police (South Zone) has booked a notorious repeat offender under the PIT-NDPS Act and lodged him in District Jail Udhampur. The accused, Rajan Singh alias Rahul Jamwal, son of Ramesh Singh Jamwal and resident of Channi Rama, Tehsil Bahu, District Jammu, was apprehended by a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Shariq Bhat, under the supervision of SDPO City East Jammu and SP City South Jammu. The detention was carried out after obtaining formal orders from the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. The accused has a history of involvement in drug peddling, with multiple FIRs already registered against him. Jammu Police reaffirmed its resolve to eradicate the drug menace from society and warned of strict action against habitual offenders. Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and support the police in its fight against narcotics. |
