Jammu police seizes 10 vehicles in 48 hours under operation ploughing

JAMMU, May 5: Continuing its relentless pursuit against illegal mining and environmental violations under *Operation Ploughing*, Jammu Police, South Zone, under the close supervision of SP South, SDPO East, SDPO South and the overall directions of SSP Jammu, carried out targeted enforcement actions under Operation Ploughing in multiple areas of the South Zone. 07 Tractor Trolleys and 01 Dumper Seized at PP Phallain Mandal
In a commendable effort to check illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police Post Phallain Mandal seized 07 tractor trolleys and 01 dumper engaged in unauthorized mining activities. The vehicles were intercepted and taken into custody. District Mineral Officer (DMO), Jammu has been informed for further legal proceedings. PP Belicharana: 01 Tractor Trolley and 01 JCB Seized for Illegal Riverbed Mining
In a separate action, Police Post Belicharana seized 01 tractor trolley loaded with boulders and 01 JCB machine involved in illegal mining from the riverbed of Tawi. The timely intervention prevented further damage to the river ecosystem. The DMO has been informed for necessary legal action.
PP Gadigarh: Tractor Trolley Seized for Illegal Mining
Continuing its strict vigil, Police Post Gadigarh also seized 01 tractor trolley involved in illegal transportation of mined material. Legal proceedings have been initiated accordingly.
These actions under Operation Ploughing underscore Jammu Police South Zone's firm stance on protecting environmental resources and enforcing mineral laws. The Jammu Police reiterates its commitment to act against any individuals or groups involved in illegal mining activities.
