Kavinder urges public vigilance, participation in MHA-ordered Mock Drill
5/6/2025 9:35:36 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 6: Senior BJP Leader and Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has urged the people of Jammu & Kashmir to remain vigilant and participate in the nationwide mock drills ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on May 7, in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of innocent 26 Hindu tourists. He condemned the cowardly act of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and said that such acts will never succeed in breaking the unity and resolve of the Indian people.
In a statement issued to the press, Kavinder Gupta said, "The mock drills being conducted are essential for assessing the preparedness of security agencies and ensuring public safety. People must not panic but understand that these drills are in the national interest. We must cooperate fully with authorities, follow advisories, and stay alert to any suspicious activities in our surroundings."
The senior BJP leader reiterated that the nation stands united in the fight against terrorism. "We must show the enemies of the nation that India is not afraid. Desh Hai Toh Hum Hain- our existence and freedom depend on the strength of our nation. Let us stand by our forces, our government, and every citizen working to protect Bharat Mata," he asserted.
Kavinder praised the efforts of security forces in swiftly responding to threats and emphasized the need for the public to remain cautious without spreading rumours or fear. He appealed to youth and civil society to come forward and help in maintaining communal harmony and security awareness.
"As responsible citizens, let's not just mourn - let us act. Stay cautious, report anything unusual, and strengthen the spirit of nationalism. Together, we will defeat the evil designs of our enemies," he said.
The senior BJP leader said that no force in the world can harm a united India and that these difficult times must become a reason for even greater national solidarity.
