Mega Job Fair to be hosted on June 23 by DBU, Cluster University

JAMMU, June 18: Desh Bhagat University, Punjab , in collaboration with Cluster University of Jammu, is all set to host a Mega Job Fair 2025 on 23rd June 2025 at the Cluster University campus (GCW College Gandhi Nagar), Jammu. The event aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and top recruiters across various sectors.
During an interaction with media persons here today, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, said that the Job Fair is expected to be a grand affair with over 45 reputed companies participating, offering a golden opportunity for youth to engage with leading employers. With 4000+ vacancies across diverse domains and a maximum package of up to 8 LPA, this fair is poised to be a landmark initiative in boosting employment opportunities in the region.
Adding immense prestige to the event, Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti said that the fair will commence at 9:00 AM and continue throughout the day, featuring direct recruitment drives, on-spot interviews, and career guidance sessions. Job aspirants from across the UT and neighboring states are encouraged to participate and take full advantage of the vast opportunities being offered.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti stated, In a compassionate response to the recent Pahalgam tragedy, Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has announced full scholarships and employment opportunities for the victims' families.
DBU's broader commitment to inclusivity is reflected in its range of scholarship programs, which provide financial assistance to meritorious students, sportspersons, students with disabilities, and those from economically weaker sections. The Shakti Scholarship empowers girl students, preparing them from the classroom to the boardroom.
Additionally, DBU is offering both teaching and non-teaching job opportunities to students from Jammu, further expanding its support network in the region.
Dr. K.S. Chandraseker, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University, Jammu, also graced the occasion and shared his insights on the growing significance of industry-academia collaboration. He appreciated Desh Bhagat University's commitment to organizing job fairs that directly connect students with employment opportunities.
Mr. Amit Kukreja,OSD to President, also shared his insights during the conference with the media persons. He said that organized under the banner "Let's Get to Work," the job fair underscores the commitment of both universities towards skill development, employability, and industry-academia collaboration.
