| Rajouri police foil two bovine smuggling attempts, 12 animals rescued, FIRs registered | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, June 24: Rajouri Police intercepted two separate vehicles and rescued twelve (12) bovine animals being transported illegally in the rajouri district.
Case 1: During Naka Checking at Lam (PS Nowshera) During a routine naka checking at Lam one Mahindra Bolero bearing registration number JK11E-0598 was intercepted. During Checking of the vehicle two (02) bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle without any valid permission.
In this regard a case FIR No. 82/2025 under Section 223 BNS and Section 11 of the PCA Act was registered at Police Station Nowshera. Further investigation is in progress.
Case 2: During Naka Checking at Sasalkot Link Road (PS Rajouri)
In a separate incident during a surprise naka checking on Sasalkot link road one Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK11E-0651 was stopped while on its way to Rajouri. The vehicle was found to be carrying ten (10) bovine animals.
