Missing person traced from Pallanwala within 2 days

Reasi, June 30: District Police Reasi continues to stand committed towards the safety and security of citizens. In a recent success, Police Station Katra traced and recovered a missing person and safely reunited him with his family.
A missing report vide DDR No. 28 dated 28.06.2025 was lodged at Police Station Katra regarding one Sonu Ram S/O Rati R/O Meerut, UP who had gone missing under suspicious circumstances.
Acting swiftly, the police launched a search operation and scrutinized CCTV footage from various strategic locations. After sustained efforts, the missing person was successfully traced at Pallanwala, Jammu.
A dedicated team from Police Post Ban Ganga was deputed to Jammu and after confirming the identity, the missing person was recovered safely. Upon completion of all legal formalities, he was handed over to his family.
The missing report has accordingly been closed.
The whole operation was executed under the leadership of SHO P/S Katra Insp Khyatimaan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Katra Dr Bisham Dubey JKPS and SP Katra Sh Vipan Chandran-JKPS.
While sharing the details, SSP Reasi, Sh Paramvir Singh, appreciated the sincere efforts of the police team and reiterated the commitment of Reasi Police towards the service of the public.
