JAMMU, July 2: Arun Gupta President Chamber of Commerce & Industry alongwith by Office bearers Sh Anil Gupta, Sr. Vice President, Sh. Rajeev Gupta, Jr. Vice President, Sh. Manish Gupta, Secretary General, Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Secretary and Sh. Rajesh Gupta Treasurer today called on Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon'ble LG UT of J&K and discussed with him various issues.
At the outset Sh. Arun Gupta introduced the newly elected team of Office Bearers to the Hon'ble LG Saheb.
During interaction Sh. Arun Gupta said that the numbers of Amarnath Yatries is increasing day by day and the administration is taking every possible step to ensure safe and peaceful Amarnath Yatra but still there is urgent need to increase the token counters for facilitating the Amarnath yatries. Besides this there is urgent need to enhance the security arrangements as this year's Amarnath Yatra marks the first major religious event in J&K since the devastating Pahalgam terror attack and subsequent operation Sindoor.
Sh. Arun Gupta requested the Hon'ble LG to take up the issue relating to extension of Industrial Package of Rs. 28400 crores with the Union Government so that the Industrial Units who have applied well within time can get the benefit of this industrial package.
Sh. Arun Gupta further requested the Hon'ble LG to take up the issue regarding starting of a new train between Jammu-Haridwar and vice versa on daily basis with the Union Railway Ministry. He pointed out that the present regular train between Jammu and Haridwar has been started some 23 years ago and since then no other train has been added on this route and the number of passengers is increasing day by day as the people are frequently visiting Haridwar to perform religious rituals including Asthi Visarjan of their dear ones.
Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon'be LG Saheb gave patient hearing and assured to resolve the issues discussed in the meeting at the earliest
