Kavinder felicitates Gaurav Tyagi for 'Ann Shuddhi Yatra' promoting Healthy India

Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 6: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today felicitated Gaurav Tyagi at Press Club Jammu for initiating the Bharat Ann Shuddhi Padyatra, a nationwide awareness campaign that began from Kashmir on June 26 and aims to cover 4,000 kilometers all the way to Kanyakumari.
Lauding the initiative, Kavinder Gupta said that a healthy India is the foundation of a prosperous India. "We often speak of becoming a global economic power by 2047, but that dream cannot be fulfilled without ensuring the health and well-being of our people. This padyatra is not just a journey - it is a message to every citizen that purity of food is key to a strong and self-reliant nation," he said.
He lauded Gaurav Tyagi's commitment and the message he is carrying through his foot march - to revive traditional farming methods, discourage the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and create mass awareness about the benefits of organic produce. "The future of our nation lies in how we treat our land, our food, and our farmers. Gaurav Tyagi's mission echoes the same values that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been consistently advocating under initiatives like Natural Farming and POSHAN Abhiyaan," Gupta added.
The Ann Shuddhi Yatra, led by Gaurav Tyagi, is focused on promoting organic farming and raising awareness about the harmful effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Tyagi said, "This journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari is for every Indian who deserves pure, chemical-free food. By 2047, as we celebrate 100 years of independence, we must also celebrate a healthier India. Food is not just a basic need - it is the foundation of our future."
He further added that the growing use of chemicals in agriculture has led to a rise in health issues and degradation of soil. "If we want to save our land, our health, and our generations to come, we must change the way we grow and consume food," Tyagi emphasized.
The padyatra will pass through several states, spreading the message of food purity and environmental responsibility. It seeks to inspire a nationwide shift toward organic living and mindful consumption, with a vision to make India not only economically strong but also physically and spiritually healthy.
