GDC Neeli Nallah commences Summer internship Programme

UDHAMPUR, July 9: Today on 9th of July 2025, GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur commenced its summer internship programme for semester 5th students with great zeal and enthusiasm. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application providing students with valuable exposure and hands-on experience in their respective fields of study.
The programme was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora who emphasized the importance of internships in shaping student's future careers. She encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity to gain practical skills, enhance their knowledge base and prepare themselves for future challenges in the professional world. A heartfelt welcome was extended to the expert and all the students by Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Internship Course Coordinator who highlighted that it is an opportunity for the students to step beyond the classroom and experience the dynamic world of Mass Media and Communication in its true spirit. The knowledge and skills the students have gained so far will now find practical shape through real life exposure and hands on training.
During the internship, the students will be exposed to multiple aspects of Media and communication including journalism, content creation, reporting, editing, public relations and digital media practices. Under the guidance of Mr. Tarun, Editor in chief, Explore News the students will engage in diverse projects that will help them develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills. The internship will also enable students to gain insights into emerging trends and industry.
GDC Neeli Nallah remains committed to fostering holistic development and employability among its students through such progressive initiatives. The college administration extends its best wishes to all the participating students and faculty for a fruitful and enriching internship experience.
